Streets to Homes Employment Follow-up

The Shelter, Support and Housing Administration Division‘s Streets to Homes program helps homeless people living outdoors get a safer place to sleep and find long-term housing.

Employment and Social Services has been working with Shelter, Support and Housing Administration staff to offer employment follow-up services to people in the program who have found housing.

Each person will participate in a needs assessment to determine the types of pre-employment support and training they need in order to find lasting employment. Employment and Social Services will work with participants to develop a customized employment plan based on the results of the assessment.

Overall, the Street to Homes Employment Follow-up project will help participants access a range of employment supports, move towards financial stability and keep their housing.
