The Chess House is located at High Park's North Edge (Colborne Lodge Dr. entrance). The chess house is open every day from around noon.
Colborne Lodge offers ongoing events and exhibits, popular kids programs, school trips as well as a unique glimpse of Toronto history.
The school opened on July 15, 1915, for children who were ill and needed the benefits of an outdoor environment and they officially closed the school in 1964. It has recently been re-occupied in 2015 by High Park Nature Centre
Grenadier Cafe is nestled in the heart of High Park, open 7 days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

This fully accessible site is home to a butterfly garden, a fedge (a hedge made from edible plants - a "food hedge"), a naturalized hillside garden and a variety of raised vegetable and herb beds shaped to spell out ABC. In the Spring of 2012, the City of Toronto finished construction on the Children's Teaching Kitchen located at the Children's Garden. After 14 seasons of cooking on camp stoves and at off-site recreation centres children and youth can experience the whole seed-to-table food experience. The addition of the new Teaching Kitchen participants can help plant, maintain, harvest, cook and eat fresh fruits and vegetables straight from the Children's Garden.
Established in 1893 for deer, the Zoo’s animal paddocks have always been a popular attraction. Today, over 125 years later, the Zoo’s eleven paddocks are home to a variety of animal species from around the world including bison, llamas, peacocks, reindeer, highland cattle, wallabies, emus and sheep. Hillside Gardens is a formal garden in the south portion of High Park, on the south side of Grenadier Pond at Colborne Lodge Drive. It is open dawn to dusk, year-round.
Located in the SE corner of High Park. Upper Duck Pond is near the castle playground, Lower Duck Pond is in the SE corner west of Spring Rd.
The High Park Trackless Train is operated under the licence of Carla Construction and Maintenance Ltd. The train operates a seasonal, weather-dependent service, consisting of a 25 minute round trip ride around the park, including one stop-over privilege. To see the location of the nine stops, please see the High Park map online or posted at Park entrances. Train stops are located mostly on the roadways.
