The City is improving Leaside Memorial Gardens Arena as part of a state-of-good-repair project that will replace the existing ice rink pad (rink 1), refrigeration system, roof, and upgrade the mechanical and electrical system within the old section of the building. The washrooms and change rooms will be improved to include accessibility features.
The timeline is subject to change.
The design phase is completed and construction is anticipated to start in 2025.
A design team has been hired and are confirming the project scope in preparation for detailed design later this fall.
