Overall, participants were generally supportive of both designs with a slight preference for Option B. A small number of respondents indicated they liked both options.

  • 47 per cent of respondents preferred Option B
  • 32 per cent of respondents preferred Option A
  • 16 per cent of respondents said they liked both options
  • 6 per cent of respondents said they did not like either option

The final design for the new park was developed using community feedback. The survey feedback indicated that 49 per cent of community members agreed or strongly agreed that their neighbourhood has a lot of playgrounds. In addition, community members felt like the design should not include a playground and splash pad given the new park’s proximity to Lakeshore Village Park, which already has these amenities. An outdoor fitness circuit was added to the design in place of a playground.

Option B was the preferred design.
