May 19, 2021: Bloor-Yorkville Area – City-Initiated Secondary Plan – Status Update

At its meeting of May 19, 2021, Toronto & East York Community Council received a status update on the Bloor-Yorkville Secondary Plan study and directed staff to consider Ramsden Park as part of the Cultural Heritage Resource Assessment for this area.

July 16, 2019: Minister’s Approval of Official Plan Amendments 405 (Yonge-Eglinton) and 406 (Downtown) with Modifications and Staff’s Preliminary Assessment of Potential Impacts of Bill 108

At its meeting of July 16, 2019, City Council received a report on the impacts of the Province’s modifications to the Downtown Plan, including on Site and Area Specific Policy 211 which applies to the study area.

May 22, 2018: TOcore: Downtown Plan Official Plan Amendment

At its meeting of May 22, 2018, City Council adopted the Downtown Plan and directed staff to review Site and Area Specific Policy 211 and to continue using the Bloor-Yorkville/North Midtown Planning Framework and Implementation Strategy to inform the evaluation of development applications until it has been updated.

November 7, 2017: Village of Yorkville – City Initiated Zoning Amendment Front Setbacks

At its meeting of November 7, 2017, City Council amended City of
Toronto Zoning By-law 569-2013 and former City of Toronto Zoning By-law 438-86 to increase the minimum front lot line setback for certain properties in the Village of Yorkville.

April 4, 2017: Bloor-Yorkville Area City Initiated Official Plan Amendment – Preliminary Report

At its meeting of April 4, 2017, Toronto and East York Community Council adopted and added to recommendations in the Preliminary Report from the Director,
Community Planning, Toronto and East York District, to prepare a Site and Area Specific Policy to be included within the Downtown Plan and to consult with the community.

October 13, 2016: Bloor-Yorkville / North Midtown Planning Framework and Implementation Strategy

At its meeting of October 13, 2016, Toronto and East York Community Council received the Bloor-Yorkville/North Midtown Planning Framework and Implementation Strategy and directed staff to consider this document during the evaluation of current and future development applications prior to the completion of the Bloor-Yorkville Secondary Plan.

August 25, 2014: Yorkville – East of Bay Planning Framework
At its meeting of August 25, 2014, City Council endorsed the Yorkville – East of Bay Planning Framework and directed staff to undertake a policy review of the Greater Yorkville area.
