As part of the Bloor-Yorkville Secondary Plan Study, the City of Toronto invites Indigenous residents and organizations to join a virtual Learning Circle for mutual sharing. We respect and solicit the valuable knowledge and insights of Indigenous peoples regarding the Bloor-Yorkville area. The virtual event will take place on Tuesday, October 25th from 6 – 8 p.m. Discussions may focus on planning topics such as stewardship, Indigenous place-keeping and advancing recognition of Davenport Road as a significant ancestral Indigenous transportation route, however, discussions on other topics will also be welcomed. To participate, please register.
Please note that this engagement event is for Indigenous peoples, organizations and communities. If you are not an Indigenous person but would like to get involved, visit the Study webpage or contact the Study Team at BloorYorkville@toronto.ca.
On June 21, 2022, the team held a Virtual Open House Meeting to discuss the Secondary Plan Study for Bloor-Yorkville. The meeting began with a review of the project background and local context. This was followed by a question and answer session providing local residents and stakeholders the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback. Thank you to everyone who attended!
The slide deck and the key maps of the Emerging Policy Areas and the draft Public Realm Actions are available for review.
In July 2022, a short survey and a Social Pinpoint project page were available for people to give their feedback on the emerging policy directions for the draft Secondary Plan. Thank you for your input! Staff will review and consider public feedback with other planning policy and stakeholder inputs in shaping the draft Secondary Plan.
