Quality and Pedagogy Virtual Visits

Quality improvement is a continuous journey and we are excited to announce a new initiative – Quality and Pedagogy Virtual Visits.

In the absence of Assessment for Quality Improvement Visits during the pandemic, this voluntary program builds upon the excellent work the sector is already doing to promote quality.

Register for Quality and Pedagogy Virtual Visits

The Quality and Pedagogy Virtual Visit initiative uses a collaborative approach that includes the child care centre operator and their team of educators as well as the District Consultant and a Quality Assurance Analyst. Virtual visits with individual centres will focus on:

  • Self-assessments using the Assessment for Quality Improvement (AQI);
  • SMART goal setting, and
  • Resources to support outcomes (i.e. professional learning designed to meet your centre’s individual objectives, reflective practice, resources with a public health lens).

Eligibility & Registration

Child care centres with a Service Agreement may register for the Quality & Pedagogy Virtual Visit program by contacting their District Consultant or by sending an email to qualityassurance@toronto.ca.

Currently, this program is not available to centres without a Service Agreement. However, Individual Mentor Visits are available, please email qualityassurance@toronto.ca if you would like to book an Individual Mentor Visit.
