The City of Toronto is planning to extend Beecroft Road north from Finch Avenue West to Drewry Avenue. This extension will replace and widen Greenview Avenue, based on the preferred solution identified in theUptown Service Road and Associated Road Network Environmental Study Report (1993).
The project will include improved pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, along with landscaping and street trees to enhance the public realm.
As part of this work, the City will also close the gap in theFinch Hydro Corridor Trailbetween Duplex Avenue and Kenneth Avenue, improving connectivity for people walking and cycling.

Advance the the preliminary design (30%) and secure property needed for the road extension in preparation for the detailed design process.
Current: Detailed Design & Public Engagement
2026 to 2027 – Upcoming
A Request for Proposal (RFP) for detailed design is expected to be issued in 2026. Technical work is anticipated to begin once a consultant has been retained in early 2027, followed by public and interest group consultation when enough project information is available.
Utility Relocation & Construction
Future
Timelines for utility relocation and construction have not yet been determined and will be established through future planning, design, budgeting, coordination and approval processes.
