Volunteers will care for cats that are up for adoption and provide adoption counselling for the public at specific PetSmart locations. This opportunity is suitable for individuals who are looking for a long-term, regular commitment with responsibilities. The opportunity also comes with the hands-on benefit of being able to find cats proper homes.
PetSmart Stores at 25 Industrial St. and 700 Lawrence Ave. W. (Lawrence Avenue West and Allen Road).
The amount of time is flexible based on the volunteer’s schedule and the time slots available, but it is mandatory that the volunteer identifies and commits to a consistent time slot they are able to work. (e.g. Wednesdays from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m.). Volunteers will also be required to spend time training with Toronto Animal Services’ staff and shadowing other PetSmart volunteers.
