Ferries to Toronto Island Park operate year-round out of Jack Layton Ferry Terminal. They run to and from Centre Island, Hanlan’s Point and Ward’s Island. Trails and bridges connect the islands.

Online ticket holders can enter the ferry terminal through a separate line during peak times. Look for signs at the terminal.
Boarding on the ferries is first come, first serve.
Tickets are valid from the date of purchase to the end of the calendar year.

A discount of 10 per cent is applied to the purchase of 10 or more round-trip tickets.
Tickets are non-refundable. Online tickets are transferable. Transfer a ticket to a family member or friend by forwarding the PDF ticket through email or by printing the ticket out.
The Jack Layton Ferry Terminal including the ferries, terminal washrooms and waiting shelters are accessible to passengers using wheelchairs or mobility-assisted devices.
Bicycles, strollers and wagons are welcome on board the ferry. Keep them on the main deck away from doors, emergency exits, hatch ramps or staircases. For safety, walk your bicycles when boarding and disembarking.
Food and snacks are available at Stefra Snack Bar inside the terminal.
Passengers will not be allowed on the ferry if they are carrying the following items:
Caregivers are encouraged to bring lifejackets for infants weighing less than 15kg. Get more information on choosing lifejackets and personal flotation devices (PFDs) on the Government of Canada’s website.
Paddle crafts such as kayaks, canoes and paddle boards are allowed on board the ferry. Keep them on the main deck away from doors, emergency exits, hatch ramps or staircases.
Pets are allowed and are required to be always on a leash inside the waiting area and on board the ferry. Do not leave them unattended.
The terminal and all ferries are smoke and vape-free. Smoking is not allowed inside the waiting area or on board the ferries.
Washrooms are inside the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal waiting area and outside the exit gate, just west of the terminal booths.
The Sam McBride, William Inglis and Thomas Rennie ferries have washrooms on the main deck level.
Only commercial and emergency vehicles are allowed on the ferry with the exception of Toronto Island residents and marina members with approval from the traffic office.
Vehicle tickets can only be purchased at Jack Layton Ferry Terminal, Booth 1.
Ticket fees include the price for the driver only and include return trip. Each additional passenger will be charged for a round-trip ticket.
Vehicle tickets are non-refundable and are not transferable.

Vehicles board the Ongiara ferry through the laneway on the east side of The Westin Harbour Castle.
For safety and vessel stability, loading might not occur in the order you arrive and you might not exit the vessel in the sequence in which you were loaded.
Ferry staff will provide you with directions during the boarding and unloading process. Place your vehicle in park with the emergency brake on and turn your vehicle off. Drivers must remain in their vehicle for the duration of the trip unless directed by the crew.
During summer, vehicle passengers will be picked up or dropped off at Hanlan’s Point and during winter, vehicle passengers will be picked up or dropped off at Ward’s Island.
While on board the ferry:
While driving on Toronto Island Park, drivers must obey all laws and regulations under the High Traffic Act and Parks Bylaw 608 and 950.
The Jack Layton Ferry Terminal is located at 9 Queens Quay W., at the Queens Quay West and Bay Street intersection. The terminal is set back 100 metres south of the intersection, behind the Westin Harbour Castle.
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) offers subway, bus, streetcar and Wheel-Trans to take you to the terminal.
There is no parking at the ferry terminal. Off-site parking may be available at third-party parking lots around the area.
Bike Share Toronto operates stations around the terminal.

The City’s ferry service operates under a security certificate issued by Transport Canada. Based on these regulations, the City has enhanced security measures at the Jack Layton Ferry terminal and aboard vessels. All large baggage will undergo a visual search.
