Flat Rate Accounts

  • Some properties are billed on a flat rate system rather than by meter.
  • Flat rate calculations consider:
    • Number of dwelling rooms
    • Number of water fixtures
    • Other property criteria
  • These properties do not have water meters, so bills cannot reflect actual consumption.

Water Meter Replacement

Water Meter Transmission Unit (MTU) Replacement Program

  • The City is replacing all 470,000 MTUs over three years due to premature unit failures.
  • MTUs send water consumption data to the City; water meters themselves remain functional.
  • Neptune Technology Group will replace MTUs by appointment at no charge.
