February 9, 2026 - City of Toronto releases spring recreation activity listings – City of Toronto
The Early Local Registration program will be expanded to 24 free community recreation centres beginning with the Spring 2026 program registration period.
Locations were selected in each community council area using a data driven approach that assessed local registration demand, local waitlists, program mix and availability. The 24 free community recreation centres participating in the early local registration model include;
With the expansion for the spring program period, residents who live close to the participating 24 Free Centres can register for recreation programs approximately one week in advance of the public registration dates.
Eligibility for early local registration has been determined through a data-informed, standardized approach resulting in program eligibility “catchment areas” that reflect local characteristics and features. Distance, physical factors and social factors are being considered including:
Population density (~34k to 50k residents per catchment area)
