The City of Toronto’s Earl Bales Ski and Snowboard Centre is now open for residents and visitors to enjoy. Weather dependent, the Centre is usually open until mid-March.
The main hill is open for both registered lessons and leisure skiing. The beginner hill and racer hill remain closed while crews build the base layer and groom snow accumulation. Weather permitting, staff are preparing for the beginner hill to open next week.
The daily operation, opening and closing of the centre is weather and snowfall-dependent, and residents should check the current conditions before heading out.
Information on hours of operation, fees for lift tickets and passes, service alerts, and rental equipment information is available on the website. Helmets are required for all participants registered in lessons and are highly recommended for patrons of all ages.
While skiing and snowboarding do have fees to participate, the City offers many free winter recreation programs and activities that can be found on the Welcome TO Winter webpage.
