The City of Toronto is gearing up for the 2024 NHL season as the Toronto Maple Leafs prepare for their home opener against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Scotiabank Arena on Saturday, October 12. To drop the puck on the season, a special flag-raising ceremony will take place at Toronto City Hall.

Mayor Olivia Chow will be in attendance, alongside Carlton the Bear, the Maple Leafs mascot, and Toronto Maple Leafs alumnus Wendel Clark.
