Toronto Public Health (TPH) has partnered with the East York Farmers’ Market to help residents get their next eligible dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday, May 17. Keeping up-to-date with COVID-19 immunization is the best protection against serious illness linked to the virus.
This approach is part of Team Toronto’s ongoing hyper-local, equity-focused vaccination strategy to ensure COVID-19 vaccines remain as accessible as possible, providing opportunities to get vaccinated where residents live, work and play.
The COVID-19 vaccine clinic will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the East York Farmers’ Market, outside of the East York Civic Centre, 850 Coxwell Ave. The clinic will have first, second, third and fourth doses of COVID-19 vaccine and will operate on a walk-in basis with no health card required. Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available.
TPH continues to encourage residents to stay up-to-date with their COVID-19 immunization, including all booster doses (third and fourth doses) for the best protection against serious illness linked to this virus. Recent data shows residents who kept up-to-date with their vaccinations were better protected against serious consequences linked to the virus, when compared to those who were unvaccinated or under vaccinated.
First, second, third and fourth doses are also available by appointment or walk-in across the five City immunization clinics. Residents can also get their doses at more than 525 local pharmacies that are offering the COVID-19 vaccine, Indigenous-led vaccination clinics, select primary care offices and other Team Toronto health care partner clinics. Additional locations for Victoria Day long weekend will be announced in the coming weeks.

“Our work to help residents get vaccinated against COVID-19 is continuing non-stop. This vaccination clinic at the East York Farmers’ Market is part of our ongoing approach to make sure we have hyper-local vaccination clinics across the city. Thank you to every member of Team Toronto working to deliver vaccine doses and thank you to all the residents who continue to step forward to get their next eligible vaccine dose to help protect themselves and our progress as a city.”
– Mayor John Tory
“Team Toronto continues to work hard to ensure that residents across our city have access to their next COVID-19 vaccine dose COVID-19. We know, the more vaccinated you are, the better your protection from hospitalization, from ICU admission or death should you become infected with COVID-19 and this is why I continue to encourage all residents to get vaccinated to protect you and your loved ones from serious illness linked to this virus.”
– Dr. Eileen de Villa, Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health
“We have come a long way with our vaccination rates, and Toronto should be proud of the milestones we have met. It’s wonderful to continue the success of our local vaccination approach by collaborating with the East York Farmers Market to conveniently provide the public with first, second, third or fourth doses of the COVID-19 vaccination. It’s never too late to ask questions, learn about the benefits of vaccination and get your dose. Being able to stop by and shop local at the same time is a welcome and innovative addition to our vaccine approach.”
– Councillor Brad Bradford (Beaches-East York)
“This is a great opportunity for East York residents to get vaccinated in their own neighbourhood. The East York Farmers’ Market is a long-standing and popular market in the community, so it is wonderful to see this partnership with Toronto Public Health. I encourage everyone to get vaccinated if they haven’t been yet, and I encourage all those eligible to get their fourth dose.”
– Councillor Paula Fletcher (Toronto-Danforth)
