Create a New Account for Residential Waste Collection Services

As of January 1, 2026, the City is no longer responsible for residential recycling collection. For blue bin (recycling) inquiries, visit the Circular Materials website or call 1-888-921-2686.

If you are a new occupant of a re-sale home or new development with no Garbage Bins or Green Bins assigned to your address, you can request to set up an account to receive curbside waste collection services from the City.

Refer to Garbage Bin Sizes & Fees all applicable fees for the current year.

Eligibility

  • You live in a house or apartment above a business.
  • You are not currently receiving waste collection from the City (no bins have been assigned to your address).

How to Create a New Account for Residential Waste Collection

  1. Make sure you have the following information ready before submitting a service request:
    • Full name (requester must be the utility bill holder)
    • Email address
    • Phone number
    • Address
  2. Submit a service request for the garbage bin size you would like to request.

What to Expect

  • The City will review and resolve your service request within 21 business days.
  • If you have previously opted out of collection services (inactive account), you will need to opt back in.
