As of January 1, 2026, the City is no longer responsible for residential recycling collection. To request an additional blue bin (recycling), visit the Circular Materials website or call 1-888-921-2686.
You can submit a service request for additional Garbage Bins or Green Bins (organics). Refer to Garbage Bin Sizes & Fees for all applicable fees for the current year. There is no fee for an additional Green Bin.
Eligibility
- You live in a house or apartment above a business.
- You receive waste collection from the City.
How to Request Additional Bins
- Make sure you have the following information ready before submitting a service request:
- Full name (requester must be the utility bill holder)
- Email address
- Phone number
- Address
- Choose the right service request.
What to Expect
- The City will assess the need for an additional bin and whether the requested bin size (if applicable) is appropriate.
- For example, a resident may generate enough garbage for an extra-large Garbage Bin, but may not be able to physically manage it and instead requires two medium bins.
- If the request for an additional Garbage Bin is approved, fees will be charged according to the current year's fees. There is no fee for an additional Green Bin.
