Project Background

The Finch West Light Rail Transit (LRT) is an 11-kilometre light rail transit line along Finch Avenue West between Keele Street and Humber College. It will have 18 stops, including 16 surface stops, plus an underground interchange station at Finch West (connecting to the new Toronto-York-Spadina Subway Extension) and one below-grade terminal stop at Humber College. The Finch West LRT will also connect to other local transit services such as GO, MiWay (Mississauga), Viva (York Region), and Züm (Brampton), as well as provide an important link to Humber College. Once complete, this project will be operated by the TTC as a seamless connection to the existing TTC Line 1 system.

The Finch West LRT project is a Metrolinx-led project that will provide rapid transit and vital connections between communities and support growth in northwest Toronto.
