Request a Hearing Review

If you’re not satisfied with the result of your initial review, you can request a second and final independent review with a Hearing Officer, who is a member of the Administrative Penalty Tribunal.
How to Request a Hearing Review
- Within 15 days of the Screening Officer’s decision, submit a Request for Hearing form by:
- Include details about why you disagree with the Screening Officer’s decision. Please note, any information you provide will be part of a public record
The Administrative Penalty Tribunal will schedule a Hearing Review and they will send you a Notice of Time and Place, which outlines your appointment details.
All Hearing Reviews take place at 1530 Markham Rd., Main Floor (Markham Rd., south of Sheppard Ave. E).
If you are the registered owner of the vehicle, you can have a representative act on your behalf. An authorized representative includes:
- a lawyer
- a licensed paralegal
- a person authorized under the Law Society Act
Authorized representatives can request a Screening Review and/or a Hearing Review. They can also attend the Screening Review and/or scheduled Hearing Review.
