For red light camera tickets with a violation date on or before January 19, 2025, use the court services payment portal to pay. For penalty orders with a violation date of January 20, 2025 and onward, use the new Administrative Penalty Lookup.

Payments for Red light camera penalties can be made online, by mail, or in person. Ensure your payment is made by the due date on your ticket to avoid late fees. Red light camera penalties do not impact your driving record, nor do they carry demerit points.

As of January 20, 2025, red light camera penalties have moved to a new system. Use the following options to pay, dispute or view the current status.

Online

Go to the Administrative Penalty Lookup. You will need the Penalty Order Number and Licence Plate.

Online payment processing fees will apply for transactions made via credit card (2.35%). These fees cover the costs charged by financial institutions for processing payments.

By Mail

Payments by mail must reach our office on or before the due date to avoid additional fees. Send several days before the due date to allow for mail delivery time.

To pay by mail:

  • Make cheques or money orders payable to “City of Toronto, APS Operations”. (Do not send cash by mail.)
  • Write the penalty order number on the front of the cheque or money order.
  • Mail to:

In-Person

Red light camera penalties with a violation date of January 20, 2025 or later can be paid at City of Toronto inquiry & payment counters or court services counters.

To pay in person:

  • Go to any inquiry & payment counter or Toronto court services counter – Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Bring a copy of your penalty order.
  • Payments can be made by cash, cheque, money order, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or debit card.

Note that red light camera penalties cannot be disputed in person at counter locations or by phone.

Use the following options for red light camera tickets with a violation date on or before January 19, 2025.

Online

Red light camera tickets with a violation date of January 19, 2025 or prior must be paid at City of Toronto court services locations. To pay in person:

  • Go to any Toronto court services location – Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Bring a copy of your ticket or violation notice.
  • Payment can be made by cash, cheque, money order, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or debit card.

Note that red light camera tickets cannot be disputed in-person at counter locations.
