Toronto and region is home to a vibrant ecosystem that provides environmental and social benefits to local communities.
Together with community groups and partners, the Toronto and Region Remedial Action Plan (RAP) is working to restore Toronto’s waters, fish, wildlife and habitats with the ultimate goal of delisting Toronto as a Great Lakes Area of Concern (AOC).
The City of Toronto is part of RAP, which is managed by representatives from Environment and Climate Change Canada, Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, and Toronto and Region Conservation.
