Project Zero: Because No One Should Die in a Home Fire
Toronto Fire Chief Bill Stewart has launched a new public education program aimed at reducing residential fire deaths to zero. Project Zero is the first program of its kind in the City of Toronto.

Risk Watch site launched
Make Toronto a safer place to live by helping us expand the Risk Watch program to more children in Toronto. Risk Watch is an injury prevention program for children.

Only working smoke alarms can save your life!
As of March 1, 2006 every home in Ontario must have a working smoke alarm on every storey and outside all sleeping areas.
Failure to comply with the fire code smoke alarm requirements could result in a fine of up to $50,000 for individuals or $100,000 for corporations.
Toronto Fire Fighters War Veterans' Association Colour Guard
The Association began in a small way. In 1935, eight veterans of World War I, met at The Prisoner of War Club at Shuter and Mutual Streets. The organization, originally promoted the welfare of Toronto fire fighter ex-servicemen and provided a social outlet for them and their families.

Toronto Fire Services Pipes and Drums
The Toronto Fire Services Pipes and Drums was established in 1998. The band was conceived by firefighter Andrew Cunningham as a traditional means of representing our department. The band comprises mostly of Toronto firefighters from all divisions who proudly wear the Toronto Fire Services Tartan.

Critical Incident Stress information
The Critical Incident Stress program is staffed by a volunteer committee of active and retired Toronto Fire Services' employees.The program exists to anticipate, recognize and respond to the concerns and needs in the areas of health, welfare and quality if life of firefighters, active or retired, their families and friends.

Remembering the fallen
A monument honouring 145 firefighters that died in the line-of-duty since 1848 was dedicated October 2000.
