Description of the group’s objectives, geographic focus and activities/plans.
The Black Creek Conservation Project is a non-profit community environmental group that has been working for over 17 years to restore and rehabilitate the Black Creek using community education and participation. We are a large (2,500+ volunteers) group which works with the Toronto Region Conservation Authority and the City of Toronto in successful partnership. Projects include restoration of degraded stretches of stream and riparian land and community outreach to educate about stormwater quality, water pollution and the benefits of a healthy watershed.
