| Friends
of Highlands Creek are focused on restoring natural habitat
to the Markham Branch of the Highland Creek, between McCowan
Road and Markham Road. The group is continuing on the tributary
reconstruction work started by the City of Toronto in 1997,
and group activities include aquatic and terrestrial plantings,
building habitat structures, invasive species control, garbage
cleanup, and other stewardship activities. |
