The City's web-based mapping system that allows staff and the public to identify the location and other important details of planned capital construction projects has been updated to show work planned for 2013.
Viewers can use the map-based system to learn about projects that the City, utilities, and other agencies including Metrolinx and the TTC, plan to construct.
New for 2013, the site now features information from Economic Development and Culture, Parks, Forestry and Recreation and Cycling Infrastructure within the Transportation Services Division.
In addition to providing details about the nature of individual projects, the system helps to improve coordination of over-lapping projects, with the goal of more efficient capital expenditures and reduced inconvenience to the public.
The new site shows planned capital work, but not emergency or short term work. To find this information, visit the city's road restrictions website. It's a great place to find out about short term construction work that affect our roads so that you can make travel plans in the city.
