Excellence in Volunteering Recognition

Mayor Rob Ford presents Volunteer Week Proclamation to Margaret Smuk, President of Toronto Inter-Home Volunteers and to Reg Paul, General Manager, Long-Term Care Homes & Services. The Excellence in Volunteering Awards were presented to exceptional volunteers who have donated their time, energy and skills to enhance the lives of residents living in the City's long-term care homes. Their commitment includes support for a wide range of services including arts and gardening programs, gift shops, cultural and religious activities, bingo and special events.


Groundbreaking Ceremony at Kipling Acres

The existing site is being redeveloped with capital funding from the City of Toronto and the Province of Ontario. The design of the new home has been undertaken with extensive community input to best meet the needs of residents and the northern Etobicoke community.

Your Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) can help you stay in your own home longer by providing Care in Your Home and by coordinating Care in Your Community, or Long-Term Care Options if it becomes too difficult for you to live independently at home.
