Lakeshore Lodge is a long-term care home owned and operated by the City of Toronto. Since its opening in 1990, Lakeshore Lodge has provided 24-hour care for 150 residents, including personal and nursing care and quality of life programming.
Located along the lakeshore in the west end of Toronto, this location offers views of Lake Ontario, beautiful green space or for a little more activity, local schools and Lake Shore Boulevard. An on-site child care centre offers unique opportunities for intergenerational programming, and the presence of children is a welcome one for many residents. During good weather, many residents enjoy the beautiful gardens on the home's grounds.
Lakeshore Lodge offers a caring, welcoming environment where life is celebrated every day and residents and their chosen representatives are encouraged to actively participate in individualized care and service planning.
Lakeshore Lodge is committed to providing optimal quality care and service to all residents. Lakeshore promotes an environment that supports the rights of residents to dignity, self-esteem and independence. The home follows an interdisciplinary care team approach, where residents are encouraged to maintain or improve their capabilities to function at their optimal level.
