Statement of Tax Account
If there was an outstanding balance on your property tax account after May 3, 2013 you should have also received a Statement of Tax Account in addition to your 2013 Final Tax Bill. Please note that if taxes and charges are overdue, payments are applied to the oldest outstanding balance first. See our collection process for more information.

Refund/Transfer Credit Balance Status fee
The City of Toronto charges a fee to request status of a refund or credit balance on behalf of an owner.
2012 Property Assessment Notices
The Municpal Property Assessesment Corporation mailed out the 2012 Property Notices to all home owners at the end of 2012. These notices identify the current value assessment (CVA, or an estimate of the market value of the property) based on a valuation date of January 1, 2012.

Property Tax Refunds Fee
As of June 1, 2011, a fee of $35 is charged to process applications for tax refunds when an overpayment/credit balance has remained on the property tax account for more than 2 years and ;the overpayment/credit balance is not the result of a City of Toronto initiated action.
Voluntary Contribution Option
You now have the option to make a voluntary contribution (donation) to the City of Toronto to support various City services. More information
Property Tax Refunds Fee

Property Tax Refunds/Credit Balances
If your property tax account has a credit balance of $500 or less at the time of the final tax billing the credit may be applied to your tax bill and will reduce your first instalment. For credit balances greater than $500 please refer to the policy Refund or Transfer of Tax Credit Balances.
