The Environment, Climate and Forestry Division (ECF) leads the City of Toronto’s work in urban forestry and on key environmental priorities.
The Division leads the City’s response to climate change; maintains, protects, plants, and plans for a more diverse urban forest; supports the development of a circular economy; helps reduce the environmental impact of the City’s internal operations; and seeks to build an equitable and resilient city.
The Division’s goal is to help create a thriving city that empowers all communities and maintains Toronto’s global leadership in environmental stewardship for future generations.
