A new 3,120 m2 park is coming to the northwest corner of Eglinton Avenue and Don Mills Road as a result of the 24-hectare Crosstown-Eglinton mixed-use community development project.

  • Winter 2020 to Spring 2021: Community engagement and design development
  • May/June 2024: Hire a construction team
  • July 2024: Construction starts
  • May 2025: Construction complete, park opens

April 2024

Construction for the new park is anticipated to start in late June/early July and is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2024.

October 2023

The park plans have been finalized and the contractor is preparing to start construction in late 2023. The park sewers and water supply will be installed first, and construction work may pause during part of the winter.

From February 4 to February 21, an online survey collected feedback on the early concept plan and playground equipment options for the park.

February 2020

Virtual Public Meeting

On February 4, the project team hosted a virtual public meeting to present the concept design for the park and collect feedback from community members on the design and playground equipment options.

The park design was developed using community feedback and includes:

  • A playground with:
    • A junior play structure
    • A senior play structure
    • Slides
    • A swing
    • Stand-alone play features
  • An amphitheatre with sloped turf
  • Two seating areas, one with a shade
  • A network of connected pathways, including one that connects to Eglinton Avenue and the West Don Trail via Moriyama Drive
