Construction Stages: KQQR Construction

Dates

  • Work on the Parkside Bridge has been completed with the exception of street light work, which will be scheduled within the next few months

Location

  • Parkside Bridge at The Queensway; both underside and topside of the bridge

Work Scope

  • Bridge rehabilitation

Dates

  • April 5, 2021 to November 2022 (a substantial amount of this work was completed; however, certain elements were carried over to Stages 2 and 3).

Locations

  • KQQR Intersection
  • The Queensway: KQQR intersection to Parkside Drive
  • Queen Street West: KQQR Intersection to Triller Avenue
  • Roncesvalles Avenue: KQQR intersection to south of Grafton Avenue

Work Scope

  • Watermain replacement and sewer relining.
  • TTC pole replacement, overhead wire removals and installation, track work, (lighting, platforms, curbs etc.), retaining wall installation, road reconstruction (base, curb gutter, sidewalk).

 

Dates

  • November 13, 2021 to Fall 2023 (a substantial amount of this work was completed; however, certain elements were carried over to Stages 3, primarily on The Queensway)

Locations

  • The Queensway: Parkside Drive to Sunnyside Avenue
  • Beaty Boulevard Park: southwest corner of KQQR intersection
  • King Street West: KQQR Intersection to approximately 100 m south

Work Scope

  • Watermain replacement and sewer lining: Please refer to work details listed in Advance Work (completed)
  • TTC pole replacement and overhead wire installation, track work, (lighting, platforms, curbs etc.), road reconstruction (base, curb gutter, sidewalk)
  • Streetscape improvements at Beaty Boulevard Park
  • Bridge rehabilitation at The Queensway bridge at Parkside Drive (inner lanes)

  • September 13, 2022 to mid-March 2023 (Timelines are subject to change)

  • Roncesvalles Avenue: Queen Street West to Dundas Street West

Work Scope

  • Queen Street West to Harvard Avenue: TTC pole replacement, overhead wire removals and installation, track work, (lighting, platforms, curbs etc.), road reconstruction (base, curb gutter, sidewalk)
  • Platform upgrades for accessibility on Harvard Avenue to Dundas Street West
