Smoke-Free Ontario Act Signage

No Smoking / No Vaping Signs

Under the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017 (SFOA, 2017) , “No Smoking,” “No Vaping,” or dual signs must be posted at all building entrances, exits, and washrooms, in appropriate locations and sufficient numbers, so that it is clear where smoking and vaping is not permitted. Please refer to the SFOA, 2017 Fact Sheets to determine which signs are required for your location.

No Smoking Sign Minimum size: 10 cm high, 10 cm wide
No Vaping Sign Minimum size: 10 cm high, 10 cm wide
Dual No Smoking / No Vaping Sign Minimum size: 15 cm high, 20 cm wide

Tobacco Products

Tobacco Product Age Restriction Sign: It is illegal to sell or supply tobacco to anyone under 19 years of age.
Tobacco Product Identification Sign: Government I.D. with a photo and birth date must be shown when requested.

Vapour Products

Vapour Product Age Restriction Sign: It is illegal to sell or supply e-cigarettes to anyone under 19 years of age.
Vapour Product Identification Sign: Government I.D. with a photo and birth date must be shown when requested.
