The City of Toronto hosted six matches and FIFA Fan Festival™ Toronto from June 11 to July 19. Games in Toronto kicked off on June 12, 2026, with the first-ever men’s FIFA World Cup™ match on Canadian soil and featuring Canada’s Men’s National Team and concluded with a round of 32 match on July 2. Embodying the “The World in a City” theme, Toronto showcased its passion for soccer and multicultural identity. The City’s diverse neighbourhoods, united by a profound love for soccer, welcomed fans from around the world.
The City supports creating experiences for all ages that showcase the city’s diverse communities and shared passion for soccer through the Community Celebration Support Fund and other resources for organizations planning events celebrating the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and Toronto’s official host city theme, The World in a City.
