Registration for virtual recreation has started.

The City uses Cisco Webex Meetings for Virtual Recreation programs. Once registered, participants will be sent with instructions on how to access the program online a few days before the class start date.

You will need:

  • a computer, smartphone or tablet with
    • internet access
    • a camera (optional)
  • access to the email account used for program registration
  • to install Webex on your device

Virtual Crafty Creations

Explore and use imagination to create basic crafts with items commonly found in a home, through a series of weekly art projects.  Participants will show and share their creations with the instructor and fellow participants at the end of each class.

A caregiver must actively take part in this program.

Virtual Dance – Belly Dance

Learn introductory level dance instruction for various Belly dance styles and moves weekly.  Participants will combine dance components to complete a dance combination at the end of each class.

Virtual Dance – Hip Hop

Learn introductory level dance instruction for various Hip Hop dance styles and moves weekly.  Participants will combine dance components to complete a dance combination at the end of each class.

Virtual Dance – Line Dance

Learn introductory level dance instruction for various Line dance styles and moves weekly.  Participants will combine dance components to complete a dance combination at the end of each class.

Virtual Power Lunch Moves (Dance)

Engage in a series of stretches, movements and energy boosters during your online/homeschooling lunch break.

Virtual Making Music with Caregiver

Learn the basics of how sound and music are produced by creating your own instrument and learn about beats and rhythms. A caregiver must actively take part in this program.

Virtual Paint Night Workshops

Explore and use imagination to create weekly art concepts using different painting techniques.  Participants will show and share their creations with the instructor and fellow participants at the end of each class.

Virtual Painting

Explore and use imagination through a series of one-day workshops that focus on various artists and their influence on a painting style, technique and genre.  Participants will show and share their creations with the instructor and fellow participants at the end of each workshop.

Virtual Gentle Fit

A gentle and slow-paced class for all fitness levels.  Provides low-intensity exercise options for cardio and conditioning. Appropriate for people with low bone density or osteoporosis. Some classes have floor work and others use chairs for the conditioning portion.

Virtual Indoor Walk Fit and Social

A 45-minute low-impact, full body workout incorporating walking with upper body movements followed by a 30 minute social/educational workshop promoting healthy living.

Virtual Yoga: Chair

A Hatha Yoga class including gentle stretches and traditional poses that uses a chair throughout the class or for support while standing.

Virtual Martial Arts

Learn fundamental martial art skills, simple fighting skills, tactical concepts, and instill confidence in participants to try new skills.

Virtual Martial Arts with Caregiver

Learn fundamental martial art skills, simple fighting skills, tactical concepts, and instill confidence in participants to try new skills.  A caregiver must actively take part in this program.

These weekly programs don’t need eFun registration. Contact staff to find out how to join each program. These programs are free.
