Submit Your Meter Reading Online
New features within the Utility Account Lookup allow utility bill customers to submit a water meter reading for those accounts with a Meter Transmission Unit that has stopped sending data.
The City will send a water meter reading request letter/email to utility customers advising their MTU is not sending data, with instructions on how they can submit an actual reading. Customers may provide the reading online, by phone or in-person.

Customers who receive a meter reading request letter or email can log into the Utility Account Lookup to submit water meter reading online through our secure website:
- Access your utility account details by entering the property identifiers found on your recent notification letter, utility bill or utility overdue notice.
- Subscribe to receive email notifications when a water meter reading is required.
- Explore tips on how to properly read and enter your water meter reading.
- Upload an optional photo of your water meter reading to assist with verification, if required.
- Receive a confirmation of your water meter reading submission which can be printed or sent to your email address.
The online meter reading submission feature is enabled until the deadline date requested on the notice. Customers may submit a reading before the deadline to avoid estimated billing. After the deadline, the online feature is disabled while the utility bill is calculated. Customers can still submit a reading by phone or in-person.

Submitted water meter readings may be subject to further verification by staff.

Utility account customers can access various self-services and information:
- Pre-Authorized Utility Payments - Enrol in pre-authorized payments to have payments automatically taken on the billing due date
- eBilling – Enrol in eBilling services to receive notification emails when your utility bills are issued and manage profile details all in one secure online location.
- Submit water meter readings – Targeting customers who have received a notification letter or email requesting a manual meter reading.
- PDF copies – Download and save a PDF copy of your utility bill and access up to two years of previous bills.
- Estimated bills – Under “Current Billing” section, water meter readings are identified as being “actual” or “estimated”.
