Fleet Services provides and maintains approximately 5,500 vehicles and equipment.

Clients using Fleet Services include various City divisions, the Toronto Public Library, Exhibition Place, the Toronto Zoo and Toronto Community Housing.


Complaint

To submit a complaint about a City of Toronto vehicle or how it is being operated, the following information will be collected to proceed the process:

  • A vehicle with the City of Toronto logo and/or a sign indicating it is under contract for the City of Toronto
  • Date of incident
  • Time  
  • Location (street/intersection or address)
  • Unit number on the side of the vehicle (must be 6 digits)
  • Complete Licence plate number on the vehicle
  • Vehicle description (colour, make/model, etc)
  • Description of complaint, what happened and who was involved
  • If there are any pictures or video available, please provide them.
  • Contact information of complainant (Name, phone number or email)

Please note there are some exceptions:

  1. If the vehicle is Green waste management truck with City of Toronto logo, please follow process as per Solid Waste: Solid Waste Management Services – Compliments & Complaints – City of Toronto
  2. If the vehicle is a snow plow or purple and has a City sign, please follow process as per Transportation Services: Transportation Services – Complaints & Compliments – City of Toronto

Please report on/off-street parking violations in permit parking areas online to the City of Toronto. All other parking violations can be reported online by completing the Toronto Non-Emergency Parking Complaint form. If the City vehicle is blocking public lane, driveway or bike lanes and need to be removed immediately, please call 311 after submitting this complaint with Toronto Police Non-Emergency. 

    Escalations

    Once a complaint has submitted, if you are not satisfied with the response please submit an escalation. 

    To submit an escalation, you must have the original complaint SR number. The escalation can be submitted online at Fleet Services – Complaints & Compliments 
     

    If you have a complaint about non-City of Toronto vehicle, contact the specific company responsible for the vehicle.
     

    Compliment

    The customer wishes to express approval for a City Driver operating a City of Toronto vehicle.
