The City of Toronto is proud to present its 12th annual Toronto Newcomer Day at Nathan Phillips Square tomorrow. Mayor Olivia Chow will address the crowd on behalf of Toronto City Council alongside Deputy Mayor Ausma Malik (Spadina-Fort York). 

Date: Friday, May 29
Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (remarks by Mayor Olivia Chow at approximately 12:35 p.m.)
Note: Canadian Citizenship ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. in Council Chamber with remarks by Councillor Neethan Shan (Scarborough Rouge-Park) at approximately 2:40 p.m.
Location: Nathan Phillips Square, 100 Queen St. W.

First proclaimed in 2015, Toronto Newcomer Day welcomes newcomers and celebrates their contributions to the city, while helping them learn about and access a wide range of services. More than 75,000 people have attended this event since it began.
