Thanks to Team Toronto’s continuing vaccination efforts, more than 50 per cent of eligible Toronto residents have received a third dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Team Toronto has been delivering third doses at City of Toronto-run clinics, mobile clinics, hospital partner clinics, and more than 525 local pharmacies and doctors’ offices.
Over this past weekend, Team Toronto held clinics to administer COVID-19 vaccine to kids and education workers, ahead of today’s return to in-class learning.
Last Friday, the City added 8,000 new COVID-19 vaccination appointments across the five City-run immunization clinics, including 4,488 new appointments for today. There are still appointments available for eligible adults or children to be vaccinated today. Appointments can be booked immediately in the provincial booking system here . Anyone eligible to expedite getting their first, second or third dose is strongly urged to move their appointment to today. City-run clinics are nearly completely booked for the remainder of this week.
Given the emergence of the new Omicron variant and ongoing community transmission of the Delta variant, TPH urges all eligible residents to book their third-dose appointment. Residents who have not yet received their first or second COVID-19 vaccine shot are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. COVID-19 vaccines lower the risk of serious illness, hospitalization and death, while protecting oneself, loved ones and the community.
Team Toronto continues to vaccinate thousands of residents. The following vaccination clinic locations are operating today:
City-run immunization clinics
The five City-run immunization clinics continue to add new appointments for first, second and third doses of COVID-19 vaccine. To book an appointment, click the blue “Book a Vaccine” button or call 1-833-943-3900. City-run clinics are easily accessible by transit and offer free parking on site. Clinic staff are also able to provide resources in multiple languages. A person with a vaccination appointment can also bring a support person to help with translation.
While City-run clinics and health care partners across the province await further shipments of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine later this month, all City of Toronto-run clinics will administer the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to residents 30 years of age and older.
People with vaccination appointments are asked to arrive no more than 10 minutes early to vaccination clinics. There will be vaccine doses available for everyone who has an appointment; arriving earlier than necessary does not impact availability. There are no walk-in appointments at City-run vaccination clinics.
