As part of the reopening of the City of Toronto’s in-person services, Toronto Building is providing Zoning By-law information by appointment for addresses located within the Toronto and East York District only.

Appointments will take place at our Customer Service counter located on the Ground Floor of City Hall starting Monday, August 9.

At this time, appointments are limited to Zoning By-law information for properties located within the Toronto and East York District. Each appointment will be scheduled for a duration of 30 minutes.

If you do not know whether the property falls within the Toronto and East York district, you may refer to the Community Council Area Profile.

For properties in other districts and all other inquiries, please call Toronto Building Customer Service at

  2. Upon receipt of your completed Appointment Request From, Toronto Building staff will contact you by phone within one business day to confirm the date and time of your scheduled appointment.

Visitors arriving at City Hall for their appointment will be asked to follow the general requirements below:

  • As space is limited, please arrive approximately 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.
  • Please bring an electronic or paper copy of your appointment confirmation.
  • Submit to screening for COVID-19 before entering the building.
  • Comply with Provincial health guidelines.
