How to Request a Tax & Utility Certificate

You can order your certificates online. Your certificate will be ready for download within two business days.

You can receive a verbal update on any tax or utility certificate(s) up to six months from the purchase date of the certificate. To obtain current account status, contact a customer service representative.

Your certificate request will be processed within 15 business days upon receiving the request.

Submit your cheque payable to the Treasurer, City of Toronto by mail or courier:

Your certificate request will be processed within 15 business days upon receiving the request.

Payment can be made by cheque, cash or debit card. You can drop off you certificate requests at any of the Inquiry and Payment Counters. Counters at Metro Hall remain closed.
