A deposit will be required before you are allowed to dispose of your material. The deposit amount will depend on the estimated size of your load and the type of material. A minimum $40 deposit will be required for all loads.
Payment Methods:
Fee per tonne – 1,000 kg: $137.25 ($1 per 7.29 kg or part thereof)
Loads weighing less than 20 kg: free of charge
Please note: Loads weighing over 20 kg are charged for the full weight, not just the weight over 20 kg. Scales weigh in five (5) kg increments. For example, 80 kg cost $10.98. Fees are rounded to the nearest dollar for cash transactions.
Fee per tonne – 1,000 kg: $183.00 ($1 per 5.46 kg or part thereof)
Minimum disposal fee for up to 100 kg: $18.00
Please note: Scales weigh in five (5) kg increments. For example, 205 kg of garbage costs $37.52 and 800 kg costs $146.40. Fees are rounded to the nearest dollar for cash transactions.
Household Hazardous Waste & Electronic Waste drop off is free of charge.
City of Toronto residents can drop off up to 10 passenger and light truck tires per day on or off rim free of charge at one of the following Drop-Off Depots:
Only passenger and light truck tires will be accepted. All other tire types will not be accepted.
