Payments for automated speed enforcement penalties can be made online, by mail, or in person. Ensure your payment is made by the due date on your ticket to avoid late fees. Automated speed enforcement penalties do not impact your driving record, nor do they carry demerit points.
As of January 20, 2025, automated speed enforcement penalties have moved to a new system. Use the following options to pay, dispute or view the current status.
Go to the Administrative Penalty Lookup. You will need the Penalty Order Number and Licence Plate.
Online payment processing fees will apply for transactions made via credit card (2.35%). These fees cover the costs charged by financial institutions for processing payments.
Payments by mail must reach our office on or before the due date to avoid additional fees. Send several days before the due date to allow for mail delivery time.
To pay by mail:
Automated speed enforcement penalties with a violation date of January 20, 2025 or later can be paid at City of Toronto inquiry & payment counters or court services counters.
To pay in person:
Note that automated speed enforcement penalties cannot be disputed in person at counter locations or by phone.
Use the following options for automated speed enforcement tickets with a violation date on or before January 19, 2025.
Go to the court services payment portal. You will need your Offence Number and Offence Date.
Online payment processing fee of $3.50 per transaction applied. These fees cover the costs charged by financial institutions for processing payments.

VISA, MasterCard and American Express are accepted for payment of fines including defaulted fines.
Cheques and money orders are payable to “Toronto Court Services”. Do not send cash.
Note: Only certified cheques and money orders will be accepted for payment of defaulted fines and previously dishonoured (i.e. NSF) payments.
