Are you planning a major renovation? Or do you need to replace your home’s windows, or heating or cooling equipment? Home energy assessments are the first step on your renovation journey.
Toronto’s homes and buildings produce more than half of the city’s greenhouse gas emissions. The City has set a number of goals to reduce emissions, including renovating almost all of Toronto’s homes to net zero emissions by 2040 or sooner. An efficient home is more resilient and climate-friendly, allowing homeowners to save on energy for years.
Before you renovate or replace windows, insulation, or heating and cooling equipment, getting an EnerGuide Home Energy Evaluation is a great way to learn about your home’s current energy efficiency and make informed decisions on improving it. Improving your home’s energy efficiency will reduce your energy costs, improve the comfort and value of your home, and reduce the emissions that contribute to climate change.
