Eaton's
College Street, 1930
Series 682, Subseries 1, File 34.
Eaton’s
celebrated the opening of its grand new department store
at College Street by publishing this special issue of The
Eaton News. The pamphlet includes drawings and descriptions
of the new building and its retail services, including the
art deco Round Room restaurant and the Eaton Auditorium
where Glenn Gould and many other artists showcased their
talents. In 2003, the restored Round Room and Auditorium
were reopened as The Carlu in honour of the architect.
