Used and surplus election signs can be brought to Bermondsey and Scarborough Drop-Off Depots starting September 30 until Friday, October 24, 2025. Please note the hours for sign drop off below.

 

Below are the locations, hours and accepted items for each of the City’s Drop-Off Depots. Hours may vary on holidays. Please note that there are specific hours at Drop-Off Depots for household hazardous waste and electronic waste.

Important Notes

  • A safe motorized vehicle is required to drop off waste for disposal and all loads must be properly secured. Walk-ins, bicycles and manual transportation devices are not permitted. Any unsafe vehicles or unsecured loads will be refused entry.
  • A deposit will be required before you are allowed to dispose of your material. Please pay by cash, credit card or debit card. The deposit amount will depend on the estimated size of your load and the type of material. A minimum $40 deposit will be required for all loads.
  • During peak periods (11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.) priority is given to City-operated and contracted vehicles operating on behalf of the City.
  • Sites operating overnight are required to complete end-of-day procedures between 11:30 p.m. and midnight, therefore there may be minor delays during this period.
  • The City offers a Commercial Disposal Service and Drop and Load Service at Drop-Off Depots.
