Alexander Street Parkette is being revitalized as part of a larger park improvement project in the Church-Wellesley neighbourhood!

Project Timeline

  • 2020 to 2021: Public consultation, concept design, design development and preparation of construction documentation
  • 2022: Construction phase

The timeline is subject to change.

Alexander Street Parkette will be improved to meet the evolving needs of the community. The improvements may include new pathways, lighting, seating, planting, site furnishings and features, protection of existing trees and enhancements to overall safety for park users.

A concept design will be developed through consultation with stakeholders and the community.

September 2020

A multi-phase public engagement strategy will begin in September 2020 to gather feedback from the community and stakeholders on the improvements to Alexander Street Parkette. All public engagement activities are being planned as virtual and/or physically distant events, according to COVID-19 regulations.
