Most City-run childcare centres will be open on Monday, January 26, with the exception of six centres located in Toronto District School Board schools that will be closed due to inclement weather. The closed centres include:
- Firgrove Satellite Early Learning & Child Care Centre, 270 Firgrove Cres.
- O’Connor Satellite Early Learning & Child Care Centre, 1665 O’Connor Dr.
- Chester Le Early Learning & Child Care Centre, 201 Chester Le Blvd.
- Taylor Creek Early Learning & Child Care Centre, 644 Warden Ave.
- Emery Early Learning & Child Care Centre, 3395 Weston Rd.
- Rawlinson Early Learning & Child Care Centre, 40 Earnscliffe Rd.
Our Programs
The City operates early learning and child care programs throughout Toronto for children birth to 12 years of age. We are committed to providing high quality, inclusive programs that support the health, well-being and learning of every child in our care. Where possible, we provide priority access to our services for vulnerable families, including those in receipt of fee subsidy.
TELCCS Waitlist Registration
We encourage families to register early because each Toronto Early Learning & Child Care program has a waitlist.
There are two different ways to register.
- If you need help with the cost of child care, apply through our Child Care Fee Subsidy application or call 311. This one application will put your name on both the Child Care Fee Subsidy waitlist and the waitlist for the Toronto Early Learning & Child Care (TELCCS) programs you choose.
- If you are able to pay the full cost of care for a TELCCS program, apply through our TELCCS waitlist registration.
