Learn how to register for the Shelter Management Information System (SMIS) training, including the session dates and location.
For WebEx online training please complete the SMIS registration form Word file. Submit the form in a Word document format to email@example.com. The emails contained in the registration forms will be used to invite participants, where they will register with their name and respective Agency.
The Agency and/or individual must submit written notice of cancellation at least seven business days prior to the training date to firstname.lastname@example.org.
It is the responsibility of the Agency and/or individual to ensure that the cancellation has been received.
If the registrant cannot attend, an email may be sent to email@example.com informing SSHA that an alternate staff will be sent to the class.
Late arrivals of 15 minutes or more will not be allowed entry into the session, either in-person or WebEx, as this is very distracting to the other participants.
SMIS Training is now being offered online utilizing the City’s Cisco Web-Ex platform. In order for Agency staff to better optimize the training experience, certain technical requirements are to be met.
A dual monitor setup is also highly recommended. Invitees can follow along with the trainer on the first screen and on the second screen can input data into the training environment to get the “hands on” experience, as would an invitee attending in person training.
If any of the above needs cannot be met, in-person training for staff will be arranged in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines.
