The Zion Church Cultural Centre was built in 1873 by the Methodists of L’Amaroux, the Finch Avenue community between Victoria Park and Warden, on land donated by Henry Scarce.
It was acquired by the Borough of North York in 1971, and designated as an example of a typical rural church.
Zion reopened as a cultural facility in 1998, celebrating the North York’s special heritage and serving to promote arts and culture in the community.
