Apply for a park vending permit by June 1.
Licensed vendors can now apply for the City of Toronto park vending program which introduces mobile vending in select Toronto parks.
Successful applicants of licensed vendors of food trucks, trailers and carts can operate from June 25 to October 12. Eligibility, locations and operating rules are provided below.

The mobile Park Vending Program is open for applications for vendors with a V15 or V27 mobile food vending license, with a food truck, trailer or cart, issued by the City of Toronto.

Vendors with an ice cream truck endorsement are not eligible.

Park locations are evaluated and selected against the following criteria:

  • Foot traffic
  • Appropriate paved surfaces
  • Access for vendors
  • Access to washroom facilities

In some parks, multiple vendors may be considered. Best efforts will be made to not repeat food offerings.

Start and End Dates

For 2026, the vending program will operate June 25 to October 12.

Hours of Operation

Vendors may access their locations from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. each day, Monday to Sunday. Some locations will have blackout dates where major festivals, events and farmers markets have the space booked.

Dates where no vending is permitted will be included in the permit conditions.

Fees

The cost of the permit is $2,812.63 for a June 25 start.

Start dates after June 25 will be pro-rated.

  • Locations do not have storage or electricity available.
  • The City of Toronto will not authorize the creation of storage space or structures.
  • The City of Toronto does not authorize sales of merchandise at parks unless as part of a special event.
  • The City of Toronto will not approve alcohol sales.
  • Vendor applications will not be accepted for marketing or promotional activities.
  • Vendor applications will not be accepted for self-service vending.
  • Vendors are required to provide waste receptacles and keep their vending and service area clean.
  • Vendors must remove all waste and recycling generated by their operation every day.
  • Vendors are required to abide by the Single Use and Takeaway Items By-law.
